FPL kicks off on Friday night this weekend with West Ham hosting Leicester City. So, you need to have your FPL transfers done by 7 pm UK time on Friday.
As for Saturday, there is no early kickoff and the 3 pm kickoffs are as followed. Crystal Palace vs Stoke City, Manchester United vs Brighton, Newcastle vs Watford, Spurs vs West Brom and Swansea vs Bournemouth. The late kickoff on Saturday should be a really exciting game as Liverpool play host to Chelsea.
There are three FPL games this Sunday with Southampton vs Everton being the early kickoff, followed by Burnley vs Arsenal and Huddersfield vs Manchester City.
Here are three players you should sign this weekend.
Paul Pogba (8.0)
Paul Pogba returned to action last weekend after missing much of the season through injury. When Pogba got injured, it came as a big blow to Manchester United. With the Frenchman marshalling the midfield, Red Devils scored 12 goals in their first four games and their struggle was evident when he was sidelined.
However, the Frenchman was back in the side vs Newcastle last weekend. And it seemed like normal service was resumed as United put four past them. Pogba played a key role in this as he managed one goal and one assist from a deep-lying position in midfield.
So, given that when Pogba is fit, United score a lot more and also that Pogba gets involved in both goals and assists, you should probably sign him this week, especially given that he is so cheap at just 8.0. Also, Manchester United are at home to Brighton this weekend and you can be certain they are going to put a few past them.
Harry Kane (12.8)
Tottenham Hotspur are playing West Brom this weekend at home, meaning they are very likely to dominate them. The Baggies are seriously struggling this season. They have picked up just 10 points and look set for a relegation battle.
Their 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Chelsea surely lowered their confidence and it also showed that a top side can dominate West Brom if they play well. So, you should probably have a Spurs player in your team this week.
The obvious and probably best choice is Harry Kane. Kane is Spurs’ top scorer this season in the league with 8 goals, which also makes him the joint second top scorer in the league. Plus, Kane has the most points of all his teammates on FPL this season with 66.
The one closest to him is Christian Eriksen. But Kane is probably a safer choice this week as he is almost certain to score against a struggling West Brom side.
Leroy Sane (8.9)
Manchester City have been simply brilliant this season. They are yet to lose in the league and it’s hard to see who could beat them.
One team, who are very unlikely to do that, is City’s opponents this week, Huddersfield Town. They are currently 10th in the league but they have scored just eight all season and have let in 17 goals.
So, when Manchester City face them this week, it’s very likely they will win with ease as they have done so many times this season. Therefore, you should have a City player on your team this week. Your best choice is Leroy Sane. Not only is Sane miles cheaper than the likes of Aguero and Jesus, but he also has more points in FPL than them this season.
In fact, Sane has the most points for any City player this season in FPL with an impressive 80 points. The German has six goals and six assists in the league for City this season. So, it’s almost certain he will be involved in the goals when City face Huddersfield.
