Crystal Palace are having a rather dejected campaign in the Premier League this time around and are looking to claw their way back into the safe zone, having been stagnant in the relegation zone since the start of the current season. However, there has been no progress for the Eagles in recent times and they have succumbed to nine defeats in their eleven games this season, their only win coming against the reigning champions Chelsea, in a shock win at Selhurst Park.
There are speculations about a number of changes in the side in the near future as the new boss, Roy Hodgson is not finding his current resources efficient enough to lead them out of the danger zone. He is in search of a player who can help the Eagles to ensure their stay in the top flight.
Among a number of players who are eyed by the veteran manager, the name of the Italian youngster Daniel Bessa is right on the top of his target list. The 24-year-old is currently playing for the Italian Serie A side Hellas Verona on loan from Roma and there is a chance that the Eagles might make a bid for him in the next transfer window.
The Italian youngster was scouted by Crystal Palace during his recent outing against Inter Milan and is already making the headlines. The Eagles are in dire need of a quality player and Bessa can come up as their first reinforcement in the near future.
The Eagles have managed to score only four this season, bringing their vulnerability into the open. None expect Wilfried Zaha has been able to catch the eyes in the first eleven games so far this season, pushing them down to the bottom of the table and they might probably end up in the second tier by the end of the season.
However, the Eagles are not looking to give up so easily and are looking to add some good players to their side who can stabilise the midfield as well as score goals. They are well aware of the fact that it is an uphill task but the inclusion of players like Daniel Bessa might do the trick for them.
The Italian has earned rave reviews for his brilliant dribbling and shooting skills at Hellas Verona. The South London club are hopeful of him doing the same in the Premier League as well in the near future. But is he the right man for them?
