However, the Blues might look to instill their interest in Barkley once again in January.
The player is one of the best midfielders for his current club Everton and is capable of plying his trade at a variety of positions including the role of an attacker. The 23-year-old can be a very good addition to the side for the Blues and might help them keep the pressure on the opponents with his ominous presence in the middle of the pitch and keep significant possession of the ball at his disposal.
Barkley has fallen in the pecking order at the Merseyside club following his rift with their former coach Ronald Koeman over the signing of a new deal. He is in the final year of his contract with the Toffees and it is quite unlikely that he will renew his contract with them. This has given Chelsea ample confidence for landing the player in the near future and they might once again table a bid for him in the next transfer window.
