West Bromwich Albion are seemingly losing their way in the Premier League this season, having lost five and drawn four of their first eleven matches so far. They are currently stranded at the 16th position and might be on the brink of entering the relegation zone if things don’t take a positive turn in the near future.
The Baggies are looking to claw their way back up the ladder and are in dire need of making a few reinforcements into the team. They have a very strong backline at their disposal but are lacking quality in their frontline and might look to add some players in the near future to strengthen their attacking lineup.
West Brom are targeting a number of players to be added to their squad in the near future and the name on the top of their current list is that of the Congolese international Cedric Bakambu, who is currently playing for the Spanish club Villareal. The 26-year-old has been in good form of late and has scored 42 goals so far in 98 matches, establishing himself as one of the key figures in the strike force of the Yellow Submarine.
The Baggies are aware of the fact that they don’t have a top-class striker in their side other than Jay Rodriguez, who was brought into the side in the summer. However, the player has not been able to score more than a couple of goals so far this season and has put the pressure on the gaffer Tony Pulis to find a player who can score goals on regular occasions in the near future.
Bakambu is known for his darting runs into the heart of the defence and score goals from a variety of ranges. He has the ability to speed heal down the flanks and storm into the penalty area, unleashing shots to find the back of the net with absolute precision. The Congolese striker has been scoring consistently for the La Liga club and will be expected to do the same in the future if the Baggies can bring him into their side in the near future.
Reportedly, the 26-year-old striker might also be interested to play in the Premier League in the forthcoming days and there is a possibility for the Baggies to make a bid for the player in the next transfer window. The player has been in good form of late and might be an apt solution to the current woes of the Baggies.
