Brighton and Hove Albion travel to Old Trafford on Saturday to take on Manchester United. The Seagulls are in good form, as they are currently unbeaten in their last five games. It will be a very tough afternoon for the Seagulls against the Red Devils, as they head into the game off the back of a defeat against FC Basel in the Champions League on Wednesday night. Below is how Brighton will lineup against The Red Devils.
In goal:
Matthew Ryan will be beneath the crossbars. The Australian keeper was brilliant again in Monday night’s draw against Stoke. He made a save when Brighton were 2-1 down to keep them in and it proved vital to them getting a point at the Amex Stadium.
The Back Four:
The back four will be the same that started the draw against Stoke on Monday night. That means skipper Bruno will be at right-back, Lewis Dunk and Shane Duffy at centre-half and Gaetan Bong at left-back. They have been in tremendous form this season, but on Monday looked a bit vulnerable, which is rare. Dunk and Duffy will need to be on top of their game to mark the likes of Ibrahimovic or Lukaku.
The Four Man Midfield:
The midfield will be unchanged from the one at Stoke. Anthony Knockaert will be on the right wing, Dale Stephens and Davy Propper will be in the centre of the park and one of the goalscorers on Monday, Jose Izquierdo, will start on the left wing.
The midfielders really helped to keep Brighton in the game against Stoke City with Izquierdo being a constant threat and scoring while Propper and Stephens made some great tackles and interceptions.
The Number 10:
The number 10 should be unchanged with Pascal Groß, who is fresh off a goal in Monday’s game against Stoke. This meant he now has five assists and three goals already this season, worth every penny invested in him so far. Groß will need to be at his creative best in order to help Brighton get anything against a very stubborn Manchester United side.
Leading The Line:
The striker should also remain unchanged with top goalscorer Glenn Murray leading the line. The English striker will feel hard done by from Monday night where he looked to be fouled by Ryan Shawcross for a certain penalty but given a free kick against him for a handball.
One thing is for sure, Brighton will have a tough ninety minutes ahead of them against a strong Manchester United side.
