Despite winning the Premier League title in his maiden season, Antonio Conte seems to be unhappy with the current ongoing situation at the Stamford Bridge. The Italian manager is very clear when it comes to the transfer market as he was with his potential transfer targets in the summer.
But Chelsea failed to attract many of the big names leaving the manager in sheer disappointment. Conte has voiced his concern a number of times and will likely to have a more dominant winter transfer window to overhaul his team.
Conte’s situation has been very closely observed by Real Madrid and the Spanish giants might take the advantage of this situation. The gaffer is likely to be tested with a very lucrative offer in near future as Florentino Perez is gearing up for a managerial change if Zidane fails to win anything this season.
It hasn’t been a good outing for Los Blancos as they have been picked by the opponents too easily. The reigning La Liga champions are much behind in the race to their arch-rivals Barcelona as they are currently in fourth place in the La Liga table. Added to that, the defending European champions also tasted defeat in the Champions League group stage as they were heckled by a far superior Tottenham Hotspur when the two teams met at Wembley for the return leg after the first match saw them sharing the spoils.
There are a number of issues Conte is dealing with right now and he expects the Chelsea hierarchy to respect his decision. There has been a long-standing effort to extend Thibaut Courtois’ stay at the club as they offered a brand new deal only to see it get rejected by the Belgian number one.
Courtois has demonstrated a very positive effort in the goal and Conte wants to tie down him to a longer contract. Also, there have also been significant efforts from the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) to bring Conte back to the Italian fold.
Giampiero Ventura was sacked following a dismal World Cup qualifying campaign as Italy are set to miss the World Cup for the first time in 60 years. Conte led this Italian side to Euro 2016 quarterfinal and he knows he is capable of turning things around with Italy.
Zinedine Zidane is in the firing line at this moment and his fate depends on how Madrid perform in the latter part of the season. There have been a number of drawbacks for them and the gaffer is expected to rectify those mistake as soon as possible.
