Fresh off their midweek victory over Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City will look to make it two wins on the spin when they take on Premier League high-flyers Burnley on Saturday. The Foxes have finally found their touch in the Premier League when they saw off a dangerous Spurs side at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night. Both Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez scored two beautifully crafted goals on the night, which helped them climb to 9th place in the Premier League standings.
Sean Dyche’s Burnley were also impressive in midweek when they bounced back from the Arsenal defeat by securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium. They have leapfrogged Tottenham to sixth place in the league table and has broken into the so-called Premier League’s ‘Top 6’.
The recent history of this fixture doesn’t make good reading for the Clarets. Burnley have just won once in their last 11 meetings with the Foxes. However, that victory came at Turf Moor last season. Leicester City is expected to continue with their 4-4-1-1 formation on Saturday and Claude Puel may opt to make one change to the eleven that started against Spurs. Christian Fuchs is due to come in place of Ben Chilwell at left-back.
Kelechi Iheanacho is a major doubt for the game against Burnley while Robert Huth and Matty James remain long-term casualties for the West Midlands club.
Both teams are in good form and will fancy their chances to bag all three points on Saturday.
4-4-1-1 Leicester City Predicted Lineup To Face Burnley
Defence
Kasper Schmeichel will start in goal for the Foxes and the Danish goalkeeper is expected to be shielded by a back four consisting of Danny Simpson, who will continue in right back; Harry Maguire and Wes Morgan are set to continue as centre-backs while Christian Fuchs will return to his left-back role, replacing Ben Chilwell, who might miss out after starting against Spurs in midweek.
Midfield
Riyad Mahrez will once start on the right flank and will look to cut inside and add to his goal tally. Vicente Iborra and Wilfred Ndidi are both expected to continue their partnership in the middle of the park with Marc Albrighton using his pace on the left-hand side of the midfield.
Attack
Japanese international, Shinji Okazaki will play just behind the in-form striker, Jamie Vardy, who will lead the Leicester attack. The Englishman opened the scoring with a terrific finish against Spurs and is tipped to be the Foxes’ prime weapon, as ever, going forward.
