Arsenal grabbed their sixth win of the season in their last match against Swansea City and are currently positioned fifth in the league table. They are now looking to make amends for their mistakes during the start of the season and climb into the top four of the Premier League.
The Gunners will face probably their toughest opponents this season when they come against Manchester City in their next match in the competition. The Citizens are in gallant form and are expected to run riot at the Etihad Stadium, as they have been doing since the start of the current season.
Undoubtedly it will be a stern test for the North London club but they are expected to put on a fight with the current league leaders for three crucial points, when the two giants collide in this mega clash.
The Gunners might be lining up in the following way for the next match.
Defence
Arsene Wenger is expected to go in with a three-man defence once again in the match against Manchester City, with the likes of Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker and Rob Holding, who might come in if Nacho Monreal shifts to the left wing-back position in absence of Sead Kolasinac, to guard the goal. The trio will have to give it their best to keep the Citizens at bay, who are currently on a goal-scoring spree.
Petr Cech will have to be very agile beneath the crossbars for his club and prepare himself for a tough day.
Midfield
While Hector Bellerin, Aaron Ramsey and Granit Xhaka will be featuring for the Gunners in the midfield once again, Sead Kolasinac might miss the game due to a hip injury that he picked up in the last match against Swansea. It is going to be a big blow for Arsenal and they might have to use Nacho Monreal in place of the Bosnian fullback in the mega clash against the Manchester club.
Attack
Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are both fit and will be starting the proceedings for the Gunners at Etihad. Alexandre Lacazette will lead the line for Arsenal and will look to help clinch maximum points from this tie, providing the Gunners with the impetus to turn the tide in their favour in the near future.
