West Ham United have made a dismal start to the season in the Premier League and have succumbed to a number of defeats in their first nine matches so far. One of them came in their last match against Premier League debutants Brighton and Hove Albion, who humiliated them with a 3-0 win.
The Hammers are extremely disappointed with their position in the Premier League and there is a chance that they might have their manager Slaven Bilic sacked in the near future. The Croatian was not able to help them to a good finish in the last term and has repeated the same mistakes so far this term as well, leaving his side in dire straits.
In case Bilic is fired from the top job at the East London club, reports suggest that the Hammers might look to put their former manager Sam Allardyce in charge of their side.
The Englishman lifted Crystal Palace out of trouble in the last term, helping them save their season with his brilliant strategies and tactics and the Hammers are pretty confident that he can do the same with their side, who are currently looking pretty close to relegation if their results continue to be negative.
Allardyce is one of the most experienced managers in the Premier League and is well aware of the strengths and weaknesses of the Hammers, having managed them in the past. He has also spent time managing an array of other clubs, out of which Newcastle United, Sunderland and Crystal Palace are worth mentioning.
The East London club kept their faith intact in their present manager Slaven Bilic after their dismal show in the last term, which led the Hammers to finish on a lowly position in the league table. The Croatian was also not able to hold back the talismanic midfielder Dimitri Payet at the club, which added to the fury of the fans.
It might take its toll on the owners as well, with the possibility of Bilic facing the axe in the near future. The Croatian has managed to lead his team to only two wins this season so far out of nine matches, while the Hammers have succumbed to five defeats already since the start of the term.
It will be safe to say that the East London club is in absolute disarray at the present moment. Sam Allardyce can be the best man to get them to their desired destination, as he has done with a number of other clubs in the past. But do you think he should replace Bilic already?
