Though they have a very good squad, that is filled with a number of brilliant players, Spurs might look to bring in some more players into their side in the next transfer window. They did not invest much during the summer and might look to add a few names to their squad in January.
Among a number of players who have been tracked by the North London club for some time now, the name of the Dutch youngster Donny Van De Beek is right on the top of the target list. The 20-year-old is currently playing for Ajax in the Eredivisie and has been tipped to become one of the future stars in Dutch football.
The young midfielder is one of the best prospects in European football at the moment and a number of big-name clubs from different European leagues are looking to add him to their squad. However, Tottenham are not willing to give up on their wish to bag the player and they might put a bid on the table in the near future.
Known for his excellent ability to retain ball possession and also use his physical strength as well as guile, Van De Beek proved his mettle at the highest level last season, when he dished out brilliant performances both in the domestic as well as European tournaments.
He led Ajax to the final of the Europa League, where they were eventually beaten by Manchester United and also helped them finish on the second position in the Dutch Eredivisie, trailing the champions Feyenoord by just a single point.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is renowned as a connoisseur of young talents and nurtures them in the right way to bring the best out of them. A player like Van De Beek will definitely be a good addition to his side and it will be a great opportunity for the young Dutchman as well, as he will be able to get proper guidance from one of the best managers in Europe in the future.
