Tottenham Hotspur are on a roll at the moment in the Premier League, having won six matches out of their first 10 so far this term. They will only look to improve after the loss against Manchester United and will want to go all the way this season.
The North London club have some of the best players in Europe in their lineup in the form of Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen, who have helped to establish Spurs as one of the best-attacking sides. However, the gaffer Mauricio Pochettino is eyeing more players to be added to his side, preferably young ones, keeping the future in mind.
One such player, who has caught the eye of the Argentine mastermind, is the Dutch Under 21 international Justin Kluivert. Son of the legendary marksman Patrick Kluivert, the young winger has earned rave reviews in his very first season for the senior side. He has featured in 32 matches so far for the Eredivisie outfit and has shown his class at the top level.
The player is known for his brilliant runs down the right flank into the opposition defence and his ability to cross the ball with pinpoint accuracy into the final third. Apart from that, he is also known for his ability to bamboozle the opposition with swift dribbling skills and can chip in with crucial goals as well.
Pochettino is one of the best coaches in Europe at the moment and is known for his affinity towards young players. He has nurtured quite a few of them into superstars since his days at Southampton and is doing so now with Tottenham, the best example being Dele Alli.
It will undoubtedly be a big break for the 18-year-old Ajax academy product if he gets a chance to move to the Premier League club. His skills have already established him on the European grid and they are sure to be honed at the North London outfit, turning him into one of the best prospects for his club and country in the future.
Ajax, however, will look to fend off any interest from other clubs in the Eredivisie as well as Europe, to make their prodigal son stay back with them in the future as well. But from the look of the things, it might prove tough for them to persuade Kluivert to stay with them, just like his father, with a number of big-name clubs aiming to bag the 18-year-old in the near future.
Is he an option for Spurs?
