Swansea City are looking in absolute disarray in their campaign so far this season, having lost five of their first nine matches in the Premier League. The Welsh club have got only two wins in their bag so far and are desperate for some positive results this season.
One of the biggest detriments that have led the side to defeats in the Premier League so far is the lack of quality strikers at their disposal. Though the Swans brought in one of the brightest young strikers in England in the form of Tammy Abraham to lead the line during the summer transfer window on loan from Chelsea, the player has not been able to shoulder the responsibilities alone so far, which has made his club look for other options to sharpen their attack.
Among a number of players who are being monitored by the Welsh outfit, the name of a young Welsh striker, Tyler Roberts is right on the top of their target list. The player is currently plying his trade at the League One club Walsall FC on loan from West Bromwich Albion and is set to return to the Hawthorns in January.
The 19-year-old is known for his brilliant skills with the ball and ability to score goals from distance as well as close range. He can bamboozle the opposition defenders with his dribbling and can also lay off assists for his teammates, providing them with opportunities to score goals. The youngster is also very strong in the air and is also strong with his hold up play.
The predicament of the Swans being their inability to score goals so far this season, there is a chance that they might make a move for the Welsh youngster in the near future.
Roberts is one of the sharpest shooters in the whole of Wales, which has helped him to earn praises from their national team coach Chris Coleman. The former Fulham coach is looking forward to including more young players after Ben Woodburn into his side and Tyler Roberts is right on the top of his priority list.
The Swansea gaffer Paul Clement is also no stranger to the abilities of the young striker and might look to rope in the player from Premier League rivals West Bromwich Albion. The Baggies, however, are also aware of the quality of their Academy product and they surely look to reject all offers and keep Roberts at their disposal and increase options in attack for the manager.
But do you think Roberts will be a hit at the Liberty?
