Real Madrid didn’t have the busiest summer transfer window but the upcoming winter transfer window is going to be huge for Los Blancos. They haven’t enjoyed a good start this season and Zinedine Zidane would be demanding reinforcements in the winter transfer window.
According to reports, Real Madrid could make a bid for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero. The Argentine star has had a storming start to this season and has already racked up seven goals in the Premier League.
There have been numerous speculation regarding Aguero’s future at the club but the Argentine international has remained on the books of the Sky Blues. Manchester City have been in fluent form this season, as Pep Guardiola’s side has cemented their place on the top of the table and are yet to lose a match in the English top tier.
Aguero has contributed vigorously this term, so Pep would be reluctant to let go one of his most valuable players. But the arrival of Gabriel Jesus has sent Aguero in two minds and he could take a call on his future if an offer comes calling for him. When it comes to choosing his first choice striker Guardiola is pretty unsettled at the moment and he has been mixing it up with Jesus’ energy and Aguero’s experience up front.
Madrid have been pretty poor with their display in the last few matches and Karim Benzema’s performances haven’t been that convincing. Zidane would love to have someone like Aguero in his side, who is easily one of the best in Europe at the moment.
Aguero has been on the top of his form and could be an ideal replacement for the French international. Manchester City have also been hot on the heels of Alexis Sanchez and would definitely revive their interest in the Arsenal player.
Sanchez’s contract is due to expire at the end of this season and it is very unlikely he is going to sign on the dotted line. So there could be a realistic chance for the English outfit to hijack him from the Emirates Stadium and it could pave the way for Aguero to quit the club.
Aguero does possess the skill and trickery to survive in the La Liga at this age too, so a move for him makes sense.
He has also been frustrated with the Manchester weather and if an opportunity arises, his head will definitely turn. Florentino Perez had tried to secure his signature during his time at Atletico Madrid and would be more than happy if he finally manages to bring him at the Santiago Bernabeu. But is he the right man for Los Blancos?
