Manchester City are probably in their best form of late in the top flight, having won all the matches but one so far this season in all competitions. The two-time Premier League champions are eyeing the coveted title once again and are cruising along towards their target at the moment.
With all their players in form, the Citizens are trying to make the most of the current season and also bag the Champions League as well. However, they are well aware of the fact that they might need some more top class players on their side to achieve their European dream and might look to bring in Miralem Pjanic with a view to strengthening their midfield.
Gaffer Pep Guardiola is aware that he might be on the verge of losing one of his most trusted midfielders in the form of Yaya Toure at the end of this season and might need reinforcements on an urgent basis. The Spaniard is interested in the Bosnian international and might table a bid for him in the near future.
The 27-year-old central midfielder is currently plying his trade at Juventus. He has been an integral part of their side since his inclusion in the last term and marshalled their midfield with command, leading them to clinch the Serie A title. He also helped his side to reach the final of the Champions League last season, where they were eventually beaten by a rampant Real Madrid side.
Owing to his brilliant skills at the heart of the midfield for the Bianconeri, the Bosnian international has attracted the attention of a number of big-name clubs from all around Europe and Manchester City are no stranger to that. Reportedly, they are willing to shell out as much as €60 million to bag the player in the next transfer window.
The Citizens can boast of a superb midfield with the likes of David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan in it. A player of Pjanic’s stature might be a very good addition to the side, helping them to strengthen the squad to the core.
However, it is not going to be easy for Manchester City to lure him to England. It is not likely that the reigning Italian champions will let go of their prized possession without a fight, making it difficult for the Citizens in the near future. But do you think Pjanic is one Manchester City should sign?
