Everton are set to offer a brand new contract to young sensation Beni Baningime. The 19-year-old has emerged as the new star at the Toffees academy and is tipped to be the next big thing at Goodison Park.
The midfielder is one of the most highly rated players and the Merseyside club wants to tie the player to a long-term contract. The Congo-born player currently has a contract till 2018 but his performance for the Everton reserves has attracted the attention of a number of clubs including Manchester United and that’s why the club doesn’t want to lose the player in future.
He is yet to break into the first team scene but is tipped to be the next player to be introduced to senior team action. The likes of Tom Davies have are a regular in Ronald Koeman’s side and the 19-year-old is likely to follow the path. He put pen to paper on his first professional contract a year ago which runs down at the end of this season. He hogged the limelight during Everton U-23s Premier League 2 campaign which they went on to win the title last season.
The midfielder was a pivotal part of the winning squad and that was the start of his journey. Everton legend David Unsworth, now at the helm of the Everton Reserves, has gone a step ahead as he compared the player with Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.
The youngster also was awarded the prestigious Keith Tamlin award which encourages young talents. He is only 19 years of age and needs to be nurtured and fine-tuned as he has all the qualities to flourish in the English football.
Ronald Koeman loves to take new challenges with young players and the youngster could carry the Everton baton in near future. There are a number of youngsters like Mason Holgate, Tom Davies and Jonjoe Kenny at the Goodison park currently and with Koema in charge, his future is in safe hands.
The Dutch manager is having a very bad patch currently as the Toffees have failed to live up to the hype this season. The Toffees are ready to offer the player a huge pay rise to fend off interest from other clubs. They do have the most energetic bunch of youngsters currently among the Premier League sides and who knows, they probably are going to be the future stars at the Goodison Park.
