This week’s FPL kicks off with a huge game between Manchester United and Spurs on Saturday. All of the other top teams are in action on Saturday as well. Arsenal takes on Swansea, Liverpool face Huddersfield, Manchester City travels to West Brom and Chelsea face a trip to Bournemouth. Elsewhere on Saturday, Crystal Palace host West Ham and Watford face Stoke.
Sundays games are a bit less exciting with Brighton facing Southampton and Leicester City encountering Everton. FPL ends on a Monday this week with Newcastle travelling to Burnley.
Here are three players you should look to sign this week in Fantasy Premier League Game Week 10.
Leroy Sane (8.5)
Sane is a great buy this week for a number of reasons. Firstly because of the great form he is on in the league. In his last four league games, he has scored thrice and assisted four times. This is an excellent record for a midfielder and proves just how good he is.
Sane’s great run of form has also propelled him to the top of the midfielder leaderboard in FPL which once again is a huge indicator that you should sign him.
Another reason you should sign him is his price. Sane would cost you just 8.5. 8.5 for a player that is the top midfielder on FPL is fantastic. Especially when you compare his price to the likes of Eriksen (9.7) who is second in the FPL midfielders leaderboard. Sane is 1.2 cheaper than Eriksen and has more points than him this season, in fewer starts.
And finally, you should sign Sane this week because Manchester City are playing West Brom. West Brom are on a really poor run of form. They are 13th in the league and have not won a game in their last five. Combine this with the form both City and Sane are in and you could be looking at another three or four nil win for the blues in which Sane is likely to score and or assist.
Alvaro Morata (10.2)
Since signing for Chelsea, Morata has had a great start to life in the Premier League. In eight league appearances, he has scored six goals and earned two assists. This has put him third in the striker leaderboard on FPL, only behind Aguero and Lukaku, both of whom are considerably more expensive than Morata. Lukaku is currently costing you 11.7 and Aguero 11.6.
Moreover, Chelsea are playing Bournemouth this weekend. Despite beating Stoke last week, Bournemouth are having a really bad start to the season. They find themselves 19th in the league and looks set for a tough relegation fight this season.
Therefore, given how poor Bournemouth have been overall this season, Chelsea should dominate them. Especially when you consider that Chelsea are in goalscoring form after putting four past Watford last weekend and three past Roma in the Champions League.
Given that Morata is their main striker, you can almost guarantee he will be involved in the goals that will very likely come vs Bournemouth.
Stephen Ward (4.4)
Stephen Ward makes it on to this list more as a budget option. He costs just 4.4 and normally for that price you would expect to be signing a player that barely plays.
This is not the case with Ward. For just 4.4 you are getting a defender who has started every league game for Burnley this season. And we all know Burnley are known for their defending more than anything. This has meant Ward has kept three clean sheets this season. It also means Ward is the 6th best defender on the FPL leaderboard with only players from Chelsea, Spurs United and City above him.
Burnley are also at home to Newcastle this week meaning Ward is very likely to earn his 4th clean sheet of the season.
Therefore, while Ward isn’t going to keep you clean sheets every week he is a great buy for the price if you want to save money and spending it on other areas of your side.
