Arsenal are looking out of sorts in the Premier League, having lost three of their first eight so far this season. Their latest disappointment came at the hands of Watford, which saw them face a rather unfortunate defeat, conceding a goal right before the final whistle.
However, the Gunners are looking to bounce back in the competition and are in search of players who can help them strengthen their squad. Among a number of players who are playing well for their respective clubs so far this season, the North London club have got their eyes on the Portuguese youngster Andre Silva.
The 21-year-old forward is currently plying his trade for the Italian giants AC Milan and is in good form of late. He is targeted by a number of big-name clubs from all over Europe including Arsenal, who are looking desperate to add a genuine goal scorer to their side in the near future.
However, it will not be an easy task for them, as AC Milan are themselves in a spot of bother in the domestic competitions and will look to hold onto their prized attacker.
The player attracted the eyes of experts during his time with the Porto B side and later on for their senior outfit. He made a name for himself within a short period of time, leading them to a number of wins in the domestic as well as European circuits. He made 58 appearances for Porto and scored 24 goals for them before moving on.
He picked up assists on 11 occasions during his tenure at the Portuguese club and was eventually bagged by the Rossoneri during the last summer transfer window.
In 10 appearances so far in the Serie A, the young forward has made a good impression already with six goals to his name. His brilliant runs into the opposition defence with the ball and off it as well, make him an ominous threat to the opposition.
Arsenal are in contention over the future of their talismanic attacker Alexis Sanchez who denied to sign a new contract with the North London club last season. With no expectation of any change to the situation, there is a possibility that Andre Silva can come into the North London club as a replacement for the Chilean marksman in the near future.
But do you think the Portuguese youngster is the right man for Arsenal?
