Swansea City will be relishing the opportunity of taking on Leicester City in their next game. The Wales side will be bristling with confidence having won their first game at the Liberty Stadium and would be looking to pick their second win on the trot when they host an inconsistent Foxes’ side.
Leicester recently parted ways with their manager Craig Shakespeare and Michael Appleton will be the interim manager until the club appoint a new name. The Foxes have managed only one win so far and are languishing in the relegation zone.
On the other side Paul Clement’s side are enjoying a very good start and will look to continue their good run in the top tier. In a very interesting fact, Leicester last met Swansea in February and a loss for the Foxes saw Claudio Ranieri being sacked from the King Power Stadium.
Predicted 4-1-4-1 Swansea City Starting Lineup Against Leicester City
Defence
Lukasz Fabianski continues to be in the Swans goal. The Polish international has been in good form and has kept four clean sheets so far. Alfie Mawson has formed a very strong defensive pairing with Federico Fernandez and they will have the license to go for the kill.
Martin Olsson would love to take advantage of Leicester’s lacklustre performance. The 29-year-old is known for his marauding runs and pinpoint crosses and Clement would like to give him some added responsibility.
Kyle Naughton will be on the opposite side.
Midfield
Clement does have a very envious set of midfielders but he has to take some tough calls. Renato Sanches is unavailable due to an injury and Leroy Fer will be serving a suspension having accumulated five yellow cards already.
Swansea loyalist Leon Britton will turn up to take control of the midfield. The veteran midfielder will be stationed just before the backline to ensure no casualties can be done.
Sam Clucas and Tom Carroll will be up there in the midfield. Both the players will be well aware of their duties and will have the task to link up with the attackers in a bid to keep things tight.
Attack
Jordan Ayew set up Tammy Abraham for the second goal in the previous game and would be hoping to make it count in this match also. Luciano Narsingh will be on the right flank.
Tammy Abraham scored a brace in the last match and will be looking to add a few more to his tally. Here is how they might line up:
