Craig Shakespeare paid the ultimate price after Leicester City made the worst possible start to the 2017-18 season. With just one win in eight matches, the Foxes were 18th in the Premier League table, only three points ahead of bottom place Crystal Palace. Threatened by relegation the club decided to part ways with Shakespeare.
Their last win in the league came exactly two months back, on the 19th of August when they beat Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 at home until the sack of Shakespeare. The Foxes have had to endure a tough run since then and were winless in the league. The 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion saw the hammer finally fall on Craig Shakespeare.
Shakespeare, who took charge of the club last season after title-winning manager Claudio Ranieri was sacked unceremoniously in February, led the foxes to a twelfth place finish last season. He oversaw the arrival of a bunch of new players to the club including exciting talent like Kelechi Iheanacho.
However, he was unable to turn the game for the foxes on the field and left the club struggling at 18th place in the table. It seems again things are getting better at Leicester after Shakespeare’s departure. While interim coach Michael Appleton in charge, the foxes returned to winning ways in the league with an impressive 2-1 away win at Swansea and followed it up with a 3-1 win over Leeds United in the Carabao Cup round of 16 match.
The Foxes go into this weekend against another team who are dealing with a managerial change in the form of Everton. Moreover, unlike Leicester, who have appointed Claude Puel, Everton are yet to name a new manager and their sacking of Ronald Koeman did not see any change in fortune for them after losing to Chelsea in the midweek Carabao Cup clash.

Defence:
Kasper Schmeichel is expected in goal for the league match after being rested for the midweek cup clash. Danny Simpson is expected at right back with Christian Fuchs starting at left back. The centre-back pairing is expected to be Wes Morgan and Harry Maguire.
Midfield:
Riyad Mahrez is expected on the right wing with Marc Albrighton on the left wing. Wilfred Ndidi and Vicente Iborra are expected to be the two men in the middle of the park.
Forward:
