Arsenal will look to keep their winning run in the Premier League intact when they take on Watford in their next encounter. The Gunners are finding it difficult to get results under their belt this term and will be hoping that they can bag a win in their very first match when the season resumes after the international break.
The North London club have already lost two matches this season and are currently in a spot of bother in the Premier League. Their fans are also disappointed and are hoping for a turn in form, which they were unable to show in the last term as well.
The gaffer Arsene Wenger will be happy with the fact that two of his aces, Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil are fit to feature in the match against the Hornets. However, the Frenchman already has a number of injury woes to handle, with players like Sead Kolasinac, Alexis Sanchez and Laurent Koscielny set to face fitness tests. Shkodran Mustafi, however, is ruled out with a thigh injury.
Here is how Arsenal might line up for this tie:
Defence-
With Mustafi injured, the onus will be on Rob Holding and Nacho Monreal to keep the opponents at bay. Given that Koscielny has started training and might return to the side against the Hornets, the backline might feature him alongside Holding and Monreal in the starting lineup.
It will be a stern test for the back three against Watford, who are looking in good form and are ready to give a good fight against the Gunners. Petr Cech is set to start in the goal for them.
Midfield-
Arsene Wenger has experimented with his lineup this season and has currently settled on using four men in the midfield. He has deployed fullbacks like Hector Bellerin and Sead Kolasinac on the wings and the duo has performed well so far for their side, with the Bosnian international getting on the scorecard as well.
However, players like Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey are yet to hit their top form in the middle of the pitch and will hope to have a good outing against the Hornets.
Attack-
The Gunners are set to start with three men in the attack and will hope to clinch three valuable points from their next match. With Alexandre Lacazette and Alex Iwobi to start the proceedings for the North London club, they will hope that the German playmaker Mesut Ozil will also be named in the starting lineup.
Predicted lineup-
Cech, Holding, Koscielny, Monreal, Bellerin, Xhaka, Ramsey, Kolasinac, Iwobi, Ozil, Lacazette.
