Dele Alli’s dream move to Manchester United could become true in the near future. The English international has become one of the most coveted midfielders on English soil. His rapid growth in the last few years has triggered attention amongst a number of clubs but Tottenham Hotspur has so far managed to hold on to their star player.
But the present scenario has changed completely since the player got rid of his representatives Impact Sports Management. According to reports, top agents are currently sniffing around him and a number of them have promised to get him his due move to Manchester United.
Among the agents, there are some big names with the likes of Mino Raiola and Jorge Mendes who also manages Cristiano Ronaldo. The 21-year-old is currently one of the hottest transfer prospects and is believed to be on the list of a number of clubs including Manchester United.
The Red Devils have already been linked with the player in the summer but now, it is understood that if the right opportunity comes, Jose Mourinho would love to have the player at the Old Trafford. The Portuguese manager already brought in Paul Pogba from Juventus and if he manages to hijack Dele Alli from Spurs, they would become untouchable.
Alli pockets in between £50,000 and £60,000 and is currently holding a discussion with the club over a new contract which would make him the club’s top earner alongside Harry Kane.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has a strict regime when it comes to paying his players and the club has been following the rule. Players at different clubs are getting much more than Spurs’ players and it has become a standout problem for the club hierarchy.
Recently Neymar broke all the records when he had decided to move to Paris Saint Germain from Barcelona for a world record fee of £199m and Alli could easily eclipse that. In this inflated transfer market, a player like him would be worth spending the money on.
When it comes to financial power, the Red Devils do hold the edge to outmuscle their near rivals. In the recent past, we have seen some big money arrivals at the club and Alli could follow the suit.
There is no doubt over the player’s talent, who has been adjudged the PFA Young Player Of The Year and has continued his growth this season too. So if he does arrive at the red part of Manchester, the competition at the club will become very fierce.
