Liverpool have already bagged Red Bull Leipzig star Naby Keita for the next season and are now reportedly having their eyes on another star of the German Bundesliga side in the form of Timo Werner. The player has been subject to interest from the Reds in the recent times and they might make a bid for the centre forward to bring him to Anfield in the next transfer window.
The 21-year-old player is one of the best emerging stars of German football and has been one of the most influential players for his current club side RB Leipzig since moving there from VFB Stuttgart last season. He has starred for them throughout the last term, helping them in their pursuit of the coveted Bundesliga and finally finishing at the second place after the eventual winners Bayern Munich.
Having helped them to earn a place in the Champions League for this season, the young forward has been the potential transfer target for a number of clubs from all over Europe including Liverpool, who are looking to strengthen their side for their new season, which will see them competing with a number of big name clubs in the Champions League starting this September.
The player is known for his blistering pace and his swift footwork, bamboozling the opponent defenders and getting goals for his side. He is also known for his brilliant crossing and pin point passing into the attacking third, setting up his colleagues and help them get goals to keep his side in an advantageous position.
He has been equally dangerous from open play as well as from set piece situations to get the ball in the back of the opposition net, which he has been doing since the start of the last season so as to make his side a formidable attacking unit.
The Reds are currently having a brilliant attack and a number of good forwards at their disposal and are seemingly having a place for another player in their frontline, aiming to land the German sharp shooter in the forthcoming transfer window and make their side formidable to the core.
However, their interests might be scuppered by the rejection from the youngster’s present club, who are unwilling to let go of their player in the next transfer window and are sure that he has plenty more to offer to the club in the next few seasons. Liverpool, though, are confident of landing the player for the new season and are willing to make a bid in the winter transfer window. But is he the right man for Klopp?
