Swansea City need to turn things around soon or it could be a repeat of the last year. The Swans flirted with the relegation throughout the last season and Paul Clement would be hoping to avoid such circumstances this season.
They will travel to London to take on West Ham United in a very meaningful fixture. The Hammers have come a long way and now are a totally different team than they what they were at the start of the season.
Clement dug deep in the summer transfer market and now has a much better team in comparison to the last year. But they haven’t performed to that level what they should have and the gaffer needs to find the perfect match before its get too late.
Predicted 4-3-3 Swansea City Starting Lineup Against West Ham United
Defence
Lukasz Fabianski will have to hold his goal once again. The Polish international is one of the most underrated keepers in the Premier League currently and he has to live up to the expectation.
Alfie Mawson was a revelation in the Swans backline last season and the 23-year-old needs to be at the top of his game to deny the fluent Hammers’ attacking contingent. Federico Fernandez has been his regular partner and should start this match alongside him.
Clement opted for a three-man defence in the last match but keeping in mind the importance of this game, he would like to keep things simple so we might see a four-man backline again.
Martin Olsson has often created problems with his sheer pace and marauding runs through the flanks. He will be stationed on the left side. Kyle Naughton will be on the right side.
Midfield
It’s the midfield that needs to be taken care of. Clement has tried a number of combination but none of them has really come out with a positive outcome. Roque Mesa should start this game. The summer signing will provide additional cover to the backline by creating a barrier in the midfield.
Renato Sanches has been a flop so far and needs to yield the tenacity in the midfield. Tom Carroll will sit in the midfield and will try to sync the midfield.
Attack
Tammy Abraham will start the proceedings and will try to bring as much as he can to this game from the right flank. Jordan Ayew will start from the left side. Wilfried Bony should lead the attack.
This is how they might line up:
