Swansea City have started their new season with forgettable performances against the likes of Southampton and Manchester United, having secured a draw and an embarrassing loss by a 4-0 scoreline in consecutive matches. However, they have clawed their way back into the competition with a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace and will look to continue winning the forthcoming matches as well.
However, the Swans will need their main players to fire in the upcoming fixtures so they can get their season back on track. The man in charge at Liberty Stadium, Paul Clement, is looking forward to selecting his strongest eleven to be fielded in the next match, which is against the newcomers of the Premier League Newcastle United, who are also looking charged up, having clinched their first victory of the season against West Ham United by 3-0.
The Welsh club has brought in a number of players this summer, who are expected to play important roles for their side to make it a good season in terms of results. However, they have also lost their talismanic attacker Gylfi Sigurdsson, who joined Everton during the recently concluded transfer window, leaving them short of quality attacking options.
But here are three players who can be very crucial for Swansea City in the forthcoming days:
Renato Sanches-
The player was termed as one of the best young talents in European given his display in the Euro Cup in 2016 for leading his team Portugal to triumph in the Final and was snatched by Bayern Munich. However, the 21-year-old was not able to cope with the ways of life in Germany and was dropped from the first team after a few months. The young attacker will now look to take the opportunity to prove a point to all his critics this season.
Tammy Abraham-
Another young player, who was brought into the side on loan from Chelsea to strengthen the attack is Abraham, who has displayed his ominous skills and has also scored a goal in his last outing against the Eagles. The English youth international will look to make a good impression in the remaining games of the season as well and make his loan term successful at the Liberty Stadium.
Alfie Mawson-
The English defender is another very important figure in the Swansea lineup and has already displayed brilliant determination to keep the opponents away from the goal. More good things are expected of him as the season resumes after the international break, with Swansea looking to take on Newcastle United in the search of a second victory this campaign.
