Crystal Palace are having one of their worst seasons in the Premier League and have got themselves into the dreaded zone of relegation. They are now looking forward to bouncing back and getting some valuable points under their belt as they take on a confident Burnley side in their next match this weekend.
The Eagles have looked fragile in every department so far and have conceded six goals already. They have failed to contain the opposition and moreover, have not been able to get a single goal past the opposition defence in any of the matches played so far. However, they are looking forward to making amends for their mistakes so far in the Premier League and are hoping for a positive result in the forthcoming match against the Clarets.
The South London club will be without one of their mainstays in the attack, Wilfried Zaha, with the Ivory Coast international still nursing an injury. However, they will be boosted by the return of Ruben Loftus Cheek after a groin strain. There are also chances for James Tomkins and Yohan Cabaye to make the squad as they return from respective injuries.
Defence-
New manager Frank De Boer opted for the 3-5-2 lineup for the last match and it seems that he will be sticking to the same in their next matchup as well. The back three comprising of Timothy Fosu Mensah, Scott Dann and James Tomkins have not clicked so far for the team and the Dutchman, who has now got his desired man in the form of Mamadou Sakho on the deadline day this summer, might look to use him to strengthen the backline.
Midfield-
The Eagles have five men midfield and have been lining up with Joel Ward, James McArthur, Luka Milivojevic, Jason Puncheon and Patrick Van Aanholt. They have not been able to get pinpoint passes into the attacking and help the forwards to get anything past the opposition goals in any of the matches so far. However, De Boer will look to get the same team in and will want them to click this time around and get a positive result under their belt from their next match.
Attack-
Andros Townsend and Christian Benteke started the previous match in the attack for the Eagles but were unable to score for their team. However, it seems that Townsend might be benched as on-loan Chelsea forward Ruben Loftus Cheek makes a return to the team having missed the last match due to injury.
Predicted Lineup-
Hennesey, Fosu Mensah, Dann, Tomkins/Sakho, Ward, McArthur, Milivojevic, Puncheon, Van Aanholt, Loftus Cheek, Benteke.
