West Ham United will look for nothing less than three points when they will face Swansea City in the Premier League this weekend. They are currently tottering on the 18th spot in the league table, having lost four of their first six matches so far, a start that was absolutely unexpected by the club as well as the fans.
The Hammers spent well in the summer transfer window and brought in top class forwards in the form of Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez and Marco Arnautovic. However, both the players have not been able to show their brilliance for their new club, which has pushed them down the leaderboard, making it an uphill task for them to gain back a comfortable position in the future.
Defence-
The backline of West Ham United has failed to show the right kind of composure that is required to keep the opposition forwards from scoring against them and they should change the way they have performed so far to lessen the immense pressure that their manager Slaven Bilic is in right now.
It will be crucial for Jose Fonte, Winston Reid and Angelo Ogbonna to do their best and hold the fort for their side in the next match against the Swans in their own backyard. Joe Hart, who was brought into the side on loan this summer, is expected to start in the goal.
Midfield-
The situation has been nothing better for the Hammers in the middle of the pitch as well and the players are looking to make amends for their mistakes in the last few games to help their side win their next matches in the competition.
The four-man midfield, consisting of Pablo Zabaleta, Mark Noble, Aaron Cresswell and Cheikhou Kouyate, will look to stick to their job and play their part as promptly as possible, as the onus of stabilising the midfield will be on their shoulders in the next match.
Attack-
With players like Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic spearheading the attack for the Hammers, it was expected that there will be no shortage of goals for them this season.
However, despite scoring goals, the Mexican striker has failed to lead his side to win matches on a regular basis so far and has failed to get much support from his colleagues. He will want Arnautovic and Michail Antonio to give him ample support in this next match and win it for the Hammers.
Predicted Lineup-
Hart, Fonte, Reid, Ogbonna, Zabaleta, Noble, Kouyate, Cresswell, Arnautovic, Antonio, Chicharito.
