Back to back losses have put West Ham United in the firing line early this season. Slaven Bilic has overseen a rapid squad overhaul and has brought in four players this summer. But despite the arrivals, there hasn’t been a lot of changes in their performances.
The manager is desperate to make more additions to the side and according to reports, West Ham United have made an effort to sign Celtic prodigy Moussa Dembele. The youngster has been a rage in the Scottish Premiership since his arrival from Fulham last season and Bilic has been doing all he can to land him at the Olympic Stadium this summer.
The Hammers’ owners have backed Bilic pretty heavily in the transfer market but results have been disappointing till now. Chicharito opened his account pretty impressively by netting a brace but a late goal saw his side crashing to their second consecutive defeats against Southampton last weekend.
No points from their first two matches will already put them under pressure and the Hammers will need to add some much-needed inspiration in the side. Bilic has been failed to act on the promises he showed at the end of the last season and it could be a make or break season for the gaffer.
Dembele has so far scripted a fairytale for the Scottish side. The 21-year-old has been the main source of goals for the Hoops last season Brendan Rodgers’s side have been making all the necessary efforts to keep the player at the Celtic Park but they might all be in vain.
Dembele is currently sidelined with an injured but that hasn’t restricted clubs from expressing their interest. His future is increasingly becoming suspicious and the youngster hasn’t ruled out a move either.
Monaco are also keeping their options open for the youngster. Kylian Mbappe’s future hasn’t been decided yet and there is a huge possibility the player might leave the club after his excellent displays.
However Celtic started their defence of the title in an enthralling fashion and the manager doesn’t want any disturbance. The gaffer voiced his confidence regarding the future of the French international recently and said “Moussa is very content and happy. He looks very fit and hasn’t had a long layoff. He is someone of great character.
“He is very stable, nothing affects him. Of course, he is not a player we want to sell.”
Bilic already has a pile of strikers at his disposal so he might need to offload a few of them to free some funds and place in the side but can he land Dembele?
