Tottenham Hotspur had one of the best seasons in their last outing in the Premier League, ending it at the second position in the league table. The fight for the winners’ medal between them and the eventual champions Chelsea went right down to the wire, where some last minute goof-ups from the Spurs made it possible for the Blues to bag the trophy.
The North London club has not yet brought in any new player for the next season and are looking to maintain the same team formation from the last term. However, Mauricio Pochettino has been eyeing certain players to bring them into the team, including one of the exciting midfielders in the form of Suso from the Italian club AC Milan.
However, as per reports, the Spaniard has snubbed the interest from the Premier league runner-ups and is looking to sign a new deal with the Italian giants for the next five years. This might compel the Spurs to find new alternatives to be brought into the team in the summer transfer window.
Three players who can be brought into the club in the next season in place of Suso are-
Ross Barkley-
The English midfielder can be one of the best signings for the North London club in the summer to boost their attacking options. The player has been under contention to leave his present club Everton after denying to pen down a new contract and has been tracked by a number of big name clubs for the next term including Tottenham. With players like Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Heung Min Son by his side, Barkley can deliver his best on the pitch in the next season.
Gylfi Sigurdsson-
The Icelandic midfielder has been on the Spurs hit list for the next season as they are looking forward to boost their attacking options. A former player of the North London club, the Swansea midfielder made a good impression in the last season with ten goals to his name and making it possible for his team to stay back in the Premier League to fight out another season. However, the Swans have put a price tag of £50 million on him, which might put off the Spurs from pursuing Sigurdsson.
Wilfried Zaha-
The Ivory Coast international was in good form in the last season for Crystal Palace and might be a good addition to the roster for the Spurs, who are desperate to bring in an alternative for the Spaniard Suso in the next term. Known for his darting runs and ability to shoot from distance, the former Manchester United midfielder is a good option to boost the attack for the North London club.
