Tottenham Hotspur have finally started their spending spree this summer and have brought in goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga from Southampton and one of the most highly regarded defenders in the form of Davinson Sanchez from former Dutch champions Ajax Amsterdam. However, it looks like they are willing to bag a few more players this summer and are ready to splash some more cash for that.
The Spurs have one of the most lethal attacks in the Premier League in the current situation and are also the proud possessor of the top scorer from both the last seasons, Harry Kane. They are looking to add more firepower and have been eyeing one of the most talented yet underused prospects in the form of Divock Origi, who is currently playing for fellow Premier League rivals, Liverpool.
The 22-year-old Belgian ace has been a part of the Reds’ lineup since 2014 but has not been able to become a part of their starting eleven on a regular basis. The young striker has missed a chunk of game time due to untimely injuries, which has been reason enough to push him down the pecking order under the tutelage of the German coach Jurgen Klopp.
With the emergence of players like Phillipe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Emre Can and now with the inclusion of Mohamed Salah from AS Roma during the summer transfer window, Liverpool can boast of a pretty strong attacking lineup, which makes it even more difficult for the young Belgian marksman to get a chance in the starting eleven in the forthcoming days. This has eventually made Origi as well as the Liverpool team management unsure about his future at Anfield and there is a big possibility that the Reds might let go of the young ace in the next few days.
This comes as a good news for the Spurs though, as they are looking to bring in someone capable to be a viable backup for their enigmatic Englishman up front, replacing the Dutch marksman Vincent Janssen, who has been an utter flop in their lineup having joined the team during last summer. Speculations are rife that Janssen is all set to make a move out of the Spurs camp this summer and the North London club might bring in Origi in his place.
Known for his brisk pace and accurate shot making, the 22-year-old Belgian can be the perfect player to be brought into the side for the Spurs.
