Leicester City youngster Demarai Gray is set to have showdown talks with the club. The 21-year-old had a handful of chances last season and impressed in patches for them. He started just nine games in the Premier League but is hoping to step up his game in the next season.
He was one of the most influential figures in the recently concluded U-21 European Championship and returned from the tournament adding two more goals and one assist to his tally.
His promising display for the Three Lions has alerted a number of clubs, although none of them have lodged a formal offer for the winger. He needs clear assurance regarding regular game time from gaffer Craig Shakespeare and Riyad Mahrez’s departure could play a big role in the next season. The Foxes have reportedly agreed to terms for the player with AS Roma and the player is expected to have his medical in Italy.
However, if things don’t change, the young winger might choose to leave the King Power Stadium and he would like to look at these three clubs as his preferred destination.
Everton
The Merseyside club have invested pretty profusely in this season and they have built quite a strong squad. Ronald Koeman wants to make a statement in the next season but he needs to address a few more crucial concerns.
Currently, the Toffees lack a quality winger with Bolasie set to miss a major portion of the season. Everton do have Ademola Lookman but it is unlikely he will be considered for a full-time role at the Goodison Park in such a crucial season.
Koeman is a renowned admirer of young talents and it could be the perfect opportunity for the youngster to take the next step in his career.
Tottenham Hotspur
A move to North London might be on the cards for the player. Mauricio Pochettino holds a particular interest in the player and has even been linked with a move for the player.
The Argentine gaffer refused to cough up the asking price of £20m but if the Foxes lower their demand they might renew their interest in the player.
Bournemouth
The Cherries have expressed their interest in the player. Eddie Howe has shown last season what he is capable of and the recent addition of Nathan Ake is only a proof of that.
Howe is building a squad which boasts of youngsters and Gray’s addition could be of much help for him.
