Tottenham Hotspur are one of the calmest clubs in the transfer market this summer as Mauricio Pochettino is more than happy with the squad at his disposal for the new campaign. He will look to make one or two additions before the deadline day but is also expected to let go of a few fringe players from the senior squad at the club this summer.
One such player that Spurs now want to get rid of is French international Moussa Sissoko. The 27-year old joined the London outfit on deadline day last summer for £30m but failed to have enough of an impact to get another season at the club. He is now up for sale at a similar price and a number of clubs are already showing interest. But here are three destinations where Sissoko might land up at before the deadline day:
Trabzonspor:
Extensively linked with a move for the midfielder in recent weeks, the Turkish giants are convinced that Sissoko is the right man for their squad next season but are not willing to meet Spurs’ valuation of the player this summer, but are ready to take him on loan. Pochettino wants to regain all £30m he spent on the player but if he wants him to move to Turkey, he might have to reduce his asking price. Trabzonspor are desperate to snatch him up and it is just a matter of Pochettino and the club deciding to shoulder some loss on his sale.
Everton:
The Merseyside outfit were very much interested in his services last summer. In fact, they were close to his signature on deadline day before Sissoko ditched them for a move to the White Hart Lane. However, Everton are now back in the market for yet another winger and Sissoko is not a bad choice. They might not be willing to spend £30m this summer like the last term but should surely look to negotiate a price for the 27-year old, who has what it takes to help Everton take the next step in the English league.
West Ham United:
Though not a club linked with a move for the French star, West Ham United lack genuine width in their attack and the addition of Marko Arnautovic or Javier Hernandez does not solve the problem. It is high time for the Hammers to accumulate some exciting stars and Sissoko fits the bill perfectly. At 27, he is in his prime and will surely have a better campaign than at the Lane in the previous one and is a risk worth taking for the London club.
