Tottenham Hotspur stands as one of the most exciting teams in the Premier League at the moment and their consistency in the last two seasons is also commendable. Mauricio Pochettino will be relatively pleased with the squad at his disposal but will also be looking to make a few signing, to make sure that he is well equipped for the next season.
Their top transfer target Riyad Mahrez is now close to a move to Italian side Roma, leaving the club in even more trouble this summer. They will have to find yet another attacker for their side, to make sure they can compete next season and here are three attacking talents Pochettino should look to sign quickly, with less than two weeks left for the new campaign:
Emre Mor (Borussia Dortmund):
The Turkish sensation moved to the Iduna Park last summer but failed to impress Thomas Tuchel in his first season at the club. But it does come as a surprise that Dortmund are already ready to get rid of him. Wanted by the likes of Liverpool as well, Mor is an exciting talent with loads of potential. He is not tailor made for the Premier League but at just 20, fits into Spurs’ system perfectly. His versatility will solve more than one problem at the club and at just £18m is a superb option for them this summer.
Lucas Moura (PSG):
Probably the toughest player to get for Spurs this summer on this list, Lucas Moura, could be made available by PSG if they are able to sign Barcelona’s Neymar this summer. Known for his blistering pace and finishing abilities, the 24-year old Brazilian is easily one of the best wingers at the moment in Europe and will walk into the first team under Pochettino. He is experienced at the highest level, playing regularly for the French side but with Neymar coming in, he will be tempted to quit and could be a sensational coup for the Spurs.
Max Meyer (Schalke):
Another Bundesliga youngster wanted by clubs in England is Schalke star, Max Meyer. Linked with a move for him already this summer, the Spurs are looking at the 21-year old as a possible option and available at just around £18m, he could turn out to be a game changer for Pochettino’s side. He has to work on his strength if he wants to succeed in England but he has most attributes that will fit him well into the style of play under the Argentine and if the Spurs are able to lure him to England, they will surely have a potential super star on their hands.
