Stoke City have lost one of their most dependable players in the form of Marco Arnautovic to fellow Premier League side West Ham United, who have brought in the forward for a transfer deal of 24 million. He has been nothing less than a talismanic figure at the Bet 365 Stadium, and now the Potters are searching for a suitable replacement for the player in the summer transfer window.
The Premier League club, who finished the last term on the league table at the 13th position, have made the Ukrainian winger Andriy Yarmolenko a potential target for Arnautovic and are looking to bring him for the next term. The current man in charge of Stoke, Mark Hughes has been a big fan of the 27-year-old midfielder and is on his way to land the forward in the Bet365 Stadium in the summer.
Reportedly, this is not the first time that the Premier League side have been poised to try and get their hands on the Ukrainian player. In fact, they have tried to rope in the winger from his current side Dynamo Kyiv for quite a few times in the last few years as well, but every time had to face defeat as the Ukrainian outfit have rejected their proposal to get the player to their side.
However, as per sources, the player has been given a green signal in case he wants to leave the club for the next term and the Potters are looking forward to taking advantage of the situation, as they have reignited their interest in the player and wants him to spearhead their attack for the next term.
The 27-year-old has been one of the best players for his current club and has featured in 335 matches for them throughout his career. He has dedicated his whole career so far for the Ukrainian outfit and has scored 135 goals for them to show for his loyalty and his efforts. He has also been instrumental in delivering the right balls in the right place to assist his teammates to score goals on 89 occasions.
The Potters, on the other hand, are well aware of the fact that this is going to be one crucial term, where they have to present their fans with a number of positive results and are in dire need of a player who can spearhead their attack for the next season in the place of Arnautovic. With his wily skills and brilliant runs into the heart of the opposition defence, Andriy Yarmolenko can be the perfect foil for the 28-year-old forward.
