Real Madrid are looking forward to keeping their dominance intact in the Spanish La Liga by making the new season another good one for them and retaining their crown which they won in the last term. The Galacticos already have an array of stars at their disposal and might be willing to add a few more players to that constellation within the numbered days before the closure of the transfer window.
The present European champions have already let go of one of their mainstays in the attack in the form of Alvaro Morata, who has gone on to join the Premier League champions Chelsea in the summer transfer window. The Galacticos are currently searching for a new player as a viable option to replace the Spanish striker, whose departure has surely left a big void in the attack for the Spanish champions.
In the current situation, a number of options, including the likes of French sensation Kylian Mbappe have been pretty closely linked with Real Madrid, who can fill up the gap in their attack for the new season. However, the name of a Spanish veteran, in a major surprise, has also come up as the replacement for his compatriot Morata.
The striker, Fernando Llorente, is currently playing for the Premier League club Swansea City, where he arrived in the last term. He had a fairly good first season playing for the Welsh club in top flight football and had scored fifteen goals for his new club. The player is known for his predatory instincts in front of the opposition goal and has used it well to get himself success in scoring goals against the rival sides.
The player has played for a number of top clubs all over Europe, including the likes of Atletico Bilbao, Juventus and Sevilla and has displayed some great skills to bring in success to the clubs he has played for so far. His last stint with Swansea City was also a good one and that has made him an eligible candidate to be able to enter the ranks of the Galacticos for the new season.
However, the move might not be a likely one for the Galacticos, as their gaffer Zidane is much more inclined towards using younger players in his lineup and has been eyeing younger players to be brought into the side since he has taken charge at Santiago Bernabeu. So it can be said that the 32-year-old striker doesn’t have much of a chance to make it into the present Spanish champions’ squad.
