Rangers haven’t had the best of starts in the Scottish Premiership this season, as they have clinched merely 4 points from their first 3 league outings. With a win, draw and a loss, the Gers have already fallen 5 points behind their arch-rivals Celtic.
Considering that they have already crashed out of the Europa League owing to their 2-0 defeat in the second leg against Progres Niederkorn after a 1-0 win in the first leg, it goes without saying that they would be severely criticized if they fail to carve a strong footing for themselves in the domestic competitions.
Pedro Caixinha has been one of the busiest managers in the summer transfer window and has secured as many as nine formidable signings including the incomings in the shapes of Bruno Alves, Carlos Pena, Alfredo Morelos, Graham Dorrans and Ryan Jack to name a few.
Although the Glasgow giants have banged 5 goals in the Scottish top division so far, Caixinha is keen to bolster his attacking arsenal further to ensure that there exists an element of competition for the striker’s place in the starting line-up of the former Al-Gharafa boss.
Apparently, Rangers have emerged as one of the favourites to sign Leeds United’s striker Souleymane Doukara before the summer transfer window shuts down. Doukara has failed to feature in the first five games for the Whites this season and is heading towards the exit door of the Elland Road.

The Light Blues have already offloaded Joe Garner and Martyn Waghorn and are desperately vouching for a sensible striking option and the 25-year-old Doukara has found a place on their radar, although Preston North End are deemed as the favourites to lure him to their ranks.
The former Catania striker is a player who possesses the trait of a relentless toiler but his technique, as well as ability, has been questioned more often than not. Leeds United have already signed Samu Saiz, Celeb Ekuban and Ezgjan Alioski and it seems like Doukara is seen as a surplus to Thomas Christiansen’s side.
Nonetheless, for the Teddy Bears, he could be a decent signing in Doukara who has banged 18 goals and registered 9 assists in 93 games for the Leeds United based outfit. Although his move to the Ibrox Stadium might not be a ground shattering one, he might be able to render himself as the helping hand Caixinha needs to make his offensive tactical nous fall in place. But do you think he is the right man for the job?
