Tottenham Hotspur have started their season on a mixed note, having won their opening fixture against Newcastle United, but lost their second match in a hard-fought affair against a resilient Chelsea side. However, they will look to bounce back from the loss in their next matchup as they take on Burnley in their own backyard.
The Spurs have brought in one of the finest players in the form of Davinson Sanchez to stabilise their defence in the forthcoming matches from Ajax. This is their second signing of the season after they added Paulo Gazzaniga from Southampton as their first earlier this week.
There have been a few injuries in the Tottenham side, mainly in the backline, with both their full backs Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose suffering from injuries, though the former has made a comeback. However, they have found enough cover for both the players in the form of Kyle Walker-Peters and Ben Davies, who have performed exceptionally well in their absence over a period of time.
Defence-
The defence has been a problem for the Spurs owing to the injuries that are being carried by their players from the last season in the form of Danny Rose, the English full back. However, with players like Kyle Walker-Peters and Ben Davies playing for the side, problems have been stabilised in the defensive area. Hopefully, now, things will take a positive turn for the Spurs and they might find a way back to winning again. The central defensive duo of Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen has been rock solid as ever and will be expected to perform the same way in the upcoming fixture as well.
Midfield-
The Spurs midfield consists of some of the best players in English as well as European football, including the likes of Dembele, Sissoko, Cristian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Eric Dier. While the defensive midfielders like Dier and Dembele will be looking to keep the opposing players off the ball as much as possible, the trio of Eriksen, Alli and Sissoko will be contributing in the attack for the Spurs, getting the goals against Burnley.
Attack-
With the English marksman and the Golden Boot winner from the last two consecutive seasons, Harry Kane spearheading the attack for the North London club, they can look to get back to winning ways when they take on Burnley at Wembley.
Line-up-
Lloris, Walker-Peters, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Davies, Dier, Dembele, Sissoko, Eriksen, Alli, Kane.
