El Clasico time is here again, as the two biggest clubs in Europe, Real Madrid and Barcelona will lock horns against each other in the final of the Supercopa Espana to claim glory in the very first competition of the season.
The final will be played over two legs, the first one to be held at the home ground of the Catalan giants, while Santiago Bernabeu, which is the home to the Galacticos, will be playing host in the second leg.
An array of world class players from both the teams with their mesmerising skills will be on offer in this clash of the giants. While Barcelona have their own set of superstars who will be chasing glory, Real Madrid will also be ready with their arsenal of world class players to make it the second trophy of the new season, having already bagged the UEFA Super Cup beating Manchester United by 2-1.
Barcelona will be looking to boost themselves with a first competitive win of the season, which is definitely going to provide the much-needed impetus for the team after they had a pretty disappointing season in the last term. However, they were able to win the Copa Del Rey to lift their only trophy of the season and fix a date with the La Liga champions Real Madrid in the Supercopa Espana final, who are in very good form and will look to excel over their opponents in every department in the upcoming match.
Defence-
Keylor Navas is expected to start in goal. The defence of the Galacticos has been performing really well in the recent matches, with top class players like Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane at the heart of it and Brazilian livewire Marcelo and Spanish speedster Carvajal guarding its either side. The aforementioned players will be expected to keep stalwarts like Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at bay and make sure that the trophy arrives at Santiago Bernabeu this year.
Midfield-
The Galacticos will have the services of German playmaker Toni Kroos, Spanish midfielder Isco and Brazilian enforcer Casemiro for them in the match against Barcelona. All the players have been in great form throughout the last season and will look to carry the momentum in the Supercopa Espana final.
Attack-
Though the main man in Los Blancos attack, Cristiano Ronaldo, might not be fit to play from the start in the El Clasico, Welsh attacker Gareth Bale‘s return to full fitness comes as a welcome news for the Galacticos. If the Portuguese skipper can start in the match, we might see the trio of Karim Benzema along with Bale and Ronaldo spearheading the attack for Real Madrid this Sunday after quite a long time.
