There has been relentless speculation regarding West Ham United’s approach in the transfer market but Slaven Bilic has done some tremendous business roping in the likes of Marko Arnautovic, Joe Hart and Javier Hernandez amongst others.
He does have some unfinished business after a very underwhelming last season. Bilic failed to replicate the impact last season what he did in the 2015/16 season. However, things could change this time around and Bilic needs to start the proceedings with a visit to the Old Trafford.
Predicted 4-3-3 West Ham United Lineup against Manchester United
Defence
Manchester City loanee Joe Hart has a point to prove as he is looking for his first Premier League start after more than a year. The English international was on loan at Torino and had a pretty erratic season under the bar.
Bilic has all his defenders fit and raring to go and has an array of options to choose from. Jose Fonte will try to shake off his earlier difficulties and will have the chance to lead the Hammers defence.
Angelo Ogbonna will like to carry on his stint at the London Stadium and is likely to partner Fonte in the back line.
Arthur Masuaku will start on the left side of the defence.
Veteran defender Pablo Zabaleta is expected to make his debut for the Hammers and is likely to take his usual place on the side.
Midfield
Bilic is looking likely to start with a three man midfield and seasoned midfielder Mark Noble will be assigned the duty to keep the ball rolling from the deep.
Youngster Edmilson Fernandes was one of the finds of the last season and he is set to make an appearance in the midfield. Pedro Obiang is expected to keep his place in the starting lineup and will start alongside Edmilson in the centre of the pitch.
Attack
All eyes will be on Marko Arnautovic. The Austrian winger was one of the big money arrivals at the London Stadium and he should start on the left wing.
Andre Ayew missed a large portion of the last season due to injury and will have the chance to cement a place in the side. He will make his move from the right flank.
Javier Hernandez has ample Premier League experience during his stint with Manchester United. a fiery goal poacher, all bets will be on him to make a sumptuous start for the Hammers.
