Manchester United have embarked on their journey to bring back the lost glory in the Premier League this season and have fared well so far in their first three fixtures. They have notched up all nine points by beating West Ham United, Swansea City and Leicester City and have netted 10 goals already. More importantly, they have also not conceded a single goal so far in the campaign.
Currently positioned on the top of the leaderboard, the Red Devils are already having an enviable strike force at their disposal, which they have put to very good use in all their matches so far. Their new recruit, the Belgian marksman is seemingly carrying his form from the last term and has already scored three goals for his new club, including a brace on his debut at Old Trafford.
However, their present gaffer Jose Mourinho is looking to add more firepower to the front line and is willing to bring in one of the best forwards in the Premier League in the form of Alexis Sanchez from arch rivals Arsenal. The Chilean marksman is reportedly looking to force his way out of the Emirates Stadium before the closure of the transfer window for this summer, as a number of clubs including rivals Manchester United and Manchester City might be vying to land him on a long term contract.
Arsenal are experiencing a pretty torrid time in the current situation in the Premier League, having lost two of the three opening matches in the campaign so far. The last one was an utterly embarrassing one, which saw them surrender to the might of the Liverpool strike force, with the Reds winning by 4-0 against the Gunners.
The match was Sanchez’s first outing in the Premier League, having missed the two previous matches due to a fitness issue. The Chilean cut a forlorn figure on the pitch for the North London club and tried his level best to get his side back into the game with his guile and skills. However, the lack of support from his teammates made it impossible for him to cause any damage to the opponents, as he was compelled to watch the Gunners face one of the most embarrassing defeats in their history against Liverpool.
The ex-Barcelona star appeared to be a contract rebel in the last term and has only one more year left on his contract with the North London club. It seems that the Chilean has made up his mind to leave the club, with the Red Devils and the Citizens leading the race to sign the 28-year-old.
