Leicester City have got back to winning ways after they were beaten by Arsenal 4-3 in an intriguing matchup in the very first match of this Premier League season. The Foxes bounced back from the loss and defeated the newcomers Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 to register their first win of the season.
Despite the win, the Foxes boss Craig Shakespeare has been sceptical of the fact that his side’s attack is looking far from their best and he is in dire need of players who can support the team well in the forthcoming days and score goals for them to keep them in advantage.
The English tactician has been eyeing a number of options to be brought into the side for the new season, one of them being his compatriot Andros Townsend, who is currently playing for fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace. The winger arrived at the club in the year 2016, but has failed to find a solid foothold in the side and has eventually fallen down the pecking order under the shadow of the Ivory Coast international Wilfried Zaha.
Sources claim Leicester City are very keen on Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend. De Boer is prepared to listen to offers. #LCFC #CPFC

With the English attacker looking for a new club to revamp his career in the current summer transfer window, the Foxes are looking to pounce on the opportunity to bag the player as they look to add to their attacking options, with a possibility of their talismanic midfielder Riyad Mahrez leaving the King Power Stadium this summer.
Known for his immense physicality and ability to run into the opposition defence down the flanks, the player can be a good addition to the attack of any team in the Premier League. His ability to deliver crisp passes into the attacking third, setting up his teammates to score goals and keep the team in advantage can also come in handy in case they sign Townsend in the remaining days of the summer transfer window.
However, the inability to dish out consistent performances throughout the season can be a detrimental factor to choose the player in the team for the Foxes, as has been the case in the previous seasons for the English international. However, he might be featuring in the forthcoming matches for the Eagles as their regular left winger Wilfried Zaha will be out for a month with an injury.
Leicester City are looking desperate to get back to the tremendous form they showed in the 2015/16 Premier League season and went on to lift the trophy and are hopeful that inclusion of some new faces might help them in their pursuit. But is Townsend the one?
