Leeds United have been looking forward to making amends for their mistakes from the previous season in the new one and in the process eyeing a return to the Premier League.
Last season, the Whites almost made it into the top six and gave themselves a chance to play in the Championship Playoffs. However, they, unfortunately, made some goof-ups in the eleventh hour, so as to end their hopes to make it into the playoffs and head back into the top flight.
The Elland Road club, however, are hoping for a good outing in the Championship this season and have already started their campaign with a win over newbies Bolton Wanderers in their first match. This win will definitely give them the much-needed boost for the new season to make it a successful one in terms of results.
The new man in charge of Leeds United, Thomas Christiansen, is willing to revamp his squad and is looking forward to utilise the summer transfer window to bring in some influential young players, who might help them achieve their much-coveted objective of winning the Championship.
One such player, Yan Dhanda, who is currently playing for the Premier League club Liverpool, has been eyed by the Leeds United manager for the new season. The ex-Spanish international has been looking to strengthen the midfield, which has been an area of concern for the Whites, to eradicate the loopholes that led to the downfall of their side in the last term.
The 18-year-old is looked at as one of the future stars, who is yet to play for the senior side and has already been termed as a sensation in the youth squad for the Reds. The player is known for his swift footwork and his ability to build the game and get it in the favour of his team. He is also known to hold the midfield and help his team keep maximum possession of the ball throughout the match.
Liverpool are not willing to let go of the player, as his contract is on the verge of expiry right at the end of this season. However, the player might be willing to join a club on loan and get as much exposure as possible to first team football in the forthcoming days, which is unfortunately still unavailable for the youngster at Anfield.
Leeds United will be looking to capitalise on this and make Dhanda sign for them, so as to strengthen their squad for the new term in their pursuit to win the Championship.
