Leeds United have started their season with a view to achieving something substantial this campaign. They are hoping to continue their winning form this term and are also eyeing a chance to head back into the top flight once again after a long gap of 14 years.
The Whites are looking more than happy to have started their season on a positive note, thus making it three wins out of the five matches they have played so far in the Championship. They have already scored seven goals this season in the competition and are looking to bring in a forward who will help them bring more wins for their club.
Their new manager Thomas Christiansen is eyeing Pierre-Michel Lasogga to add to the strike force of his side in the ongoing summer transfer market, who is currently playing for the German Bundesliga side Hamburger SV. The player is known for his immense physicality and can be a good addition to the Elland Road club with the transfer window coming to a close in the next few days.
The player, however, has not been able to see much of the action in the last season, having featured in a bits and pieces role throughout the season. This has led him to eye a move to a new club which will give him more opportunities on a regular basis to star for the team and score crucial goals to keep his club in the advantage.
The German striker has played a number of matches for the Bundesliga outfit, making 1o7 appearances so far. However, in the last season, the number of appearances have drastically decreased for the 25-year-old, who failed to make a lasting impact on the manager.
Leeds United, however, are looking forward to making a move for the player in the next few days before the transfer window comes to a close. The Whites are looking to add to their firepower for the new season and are willing to bring in the imposing attacker from Hamburger SV.
Known for his swift footwork and ability to take shots on goal from long range as well as close range, the 25-year-old also knows how to use his big frame in the heart of the opposition and get the better of the defenders so as to score goals from headers. It is going to be a decent addition to the Leeds United side if they manage to land him eventually.
