Fulham have been under pressure to perform well in the forthcoming season after they lost their semi final clash against Reading in the Championship playoff in the last term. The Whites finished the season in the sixth position in the League table and will be looking to improve their performance in order to head back into the Premier League.
The Championship club has been linked with a number of players, who have been playing well for their respective clubs in the last term. They are willing to bring in a number of new players in order to revamp the side and one name that is right on the top of their target list for the next season is that of the Ghanaian striker Abdul Majid Waris, who is currently playing for the Ligue 1 side FC Lorient.
The 25-year-old has been in good form of late and has been linked with a number of clubs from the Championship and Ligue 1 as well. Fulham are looking for a good enough player, who can share the onus of scoring goals alongside with their main striker Tom Cairney and keep the team in an advantageous position in the Championship.
It is expected that the young striker from Ghana can be the perfect man to fit the bill for the Whites in the next term.
Abdul Majid Waris has played a number of matches for his current club Lorient, 65 to be precise and has scored 23 goals in them. He is known for his physical presence on the pitch and often uses it to perfection, to fend off the defenders from the opposition before putting the ball into the net past the keeper. He is also known for his skills of assisting his teammates and has seven assists so far throughout his career at Lorient.
The Ghanaian player is also known for his darting runs, which he makes in order to get to the heart of the opposition defence and score goals. He is also very dangerous on the wing and a majority of his goals have come from such wide areas.
The player is doing well for his current side and tried his level best to save the season for his club in the last term. However, despite his brave efforts, Lorient got relegated to the next tier, leaving the Ghanaian forward looking for a new club. Fulham has been looking forward to landing the player at the Craven Cottage and are sure that he can help them get close to winning the Championship in the next term.
