Arsenal had a dismal season in terms of results in their last campaign in the Premier League, which saw them finish in the fifth position for the first time since 1998. However, they are looking to revive the season in the next term by playing as per their reputation and have already brought in some top class players in the summer to add to their strength for the next term.
This, however, is also indicative of the fact that the Gunners might let go of a few of their players in the current squad as they might not be useful enough to be deployed on the pitch in the next term. With the new recruits coming in, these players are also sure not to be in the team for the next term.
Three such players may be-
Kieran Gibbs-
It is almost sure that this veteran of 229 matches will not be a part of the team in the next season and is going to be offloaded in the summer. The English international has been a part of the team for quite a long time but has fallen down the pecking order in the last couple of seasons with the induction of Spanish left back Nacho Monreal into the team. Now that the North London club have got themselves a top class left back in the form of Sead Kolasinac from Schalke, Gibbs is sure to be sold.
Carl Jenkinson-
The 25-year-old right back has been a part of the North London club since 2011 but has never been used on a regular basis in the line-up. With a top class player like Hector Bellerin playing at the right back for the Gunners, the future looks quite gloomy for the English international and he is almost bound to leave the club in the summer transfer market. The player has attracted interest from a number of clubs from the Italian Serie A and might be on his way to join Cagliari or Sassulo in the next term.
Lucas Perez-
The striker was hardly used in the last season and might leave in the summer transfer window. The player was brought into the side in the year 2016 and was set to make a stunning start to his career in the Premier League, however, things did not work out and the player was left on the bench for almost all of last season. Now, with the arrival of the mercurial striker Alexandre Lacazette, it is almost confirmed that Perez is set to leave the Emirates in the next term.
