Brighton and Hove Albion have found it really hard to play against the teams in the top flight so far in their debut season and are in need of inspiring performances from their players to get back to winning ways in the forthcoming matches of their campaign. They have lost 2 and drawn 1 match so far and are looking to bounce back with the help of new players whom they are eyeing to be brought into the side before the closure of the transfer window.
One such player, who might be the latest addition to their roster for the new season is the Senegalese striker Oumar Niasse, who is currently playing for fellow Premier League club, Everton. The player came into the Merseyside club in 2016 but has not been able to see much of the action in the last term and was eventually sent on loan to play at the then Premier League outfit Hull City.
Even though the player has returned from his loan spell to Goodison Park, things haven’t changed much for the Senegalese international. This has irked a number of clubs in the Championship as well as the Premier League, who are willing to bid for the player and add him to their roster for the new season, one of them being the Premier League debutants Brighton and Hove Albion.
The 27-year-old striker has featured in only seven matches for the Toffees so far and there is no chance of making it an eighth appearance for him in the near future. He, however, scored five goals during his loan spell at the KCOM Stadium in the last season, which proved to be insufficient as the Tigers were relegated from the top flight, with the Senegalese player looking to make it into another club who will hand him a permanent place in the starting line-up.
Among a number of clubs interested in the player, Brighton and Hove Albion are looking the favourites to bag the player for the new season. However, they will have to pay up at least £10 million, as demanded by the Merseyside club in order to secure the services of the Senegalese international for their next matches.
The player is known for his pace, which enables him to make darting runs into the heart of the opposition defence. The 27-year-old is also able to take shots on goal from distance as well as close range, which might come handy for the Seagulls to save their first season in the Premier League.
