Brighton & Hove Albion made a disappointing start to their debut season in the Premier League, having lost both their opening matches to a 2-0 goal margin to Manchester Cty and Leicester City on consecutive weekends. The Seagulls have completely looked out of sorts in both the contests and are looking to bounce back from the defeats in the forthcoming matches.
The team management brought in a number of new players to be added to the roster in the summer transfer window for the newly-promoted club, who don’t look to have been able to settle themselves in the English top-flight competition as of yet. However, the Seagulls are not looking to stop as of yet and are eyeing some more players to be brought into the side for the new season before the transfer window closes.
One such player, Stevan Jovetic, who is currently playing for the Italian giants Inter Milan in the Serie A, is right on the top of the target list for Brighton. The newly promoted club have already broken their transfer record quite a few times this summer in order to add a number of new players to their roster, and they might be looking to do the same once again in order to land the player at Amex Stadium in an extravagant move this summer.
The Montenegro international has found it quite difficult to book a place for himself in the first team in the last season and might be eyeing to revamp his career with a new club. Brighton coach Chris Hughton might be more than interested in the player after knowing this fact and offer him a new deal to become a part of their side in the new season.
However, it is not going to be easy for the Seagulls to lure the player away from the San Siro, as an array of other clubs including fellow Premier League outfit Newcastle United are also in the run to make a bid for the Inter Milan striker.
Hughton is well aware of the fact that the forthcoming days are not going to be getting any easier for his side, with English giants like Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Everton, Liverpool and defending champions Chelsea looking forward to testing their mettle this season. He is ready to add some more players to the side, especially someone like Stevan Jovetic, who has some valuable previous experience of playing in the Premier League with the former champions Manchester City.
