Brighton and Hove Albion are looking forward to start their debut campaign in the Premier League and have already brought in nine new players in the team for the new season so far. However, they are not yet looking to give up on their desire to bag some more new faces before the end of the summer transfer window and have already got their tenth signing to strengthen their squad for this season.
Soufyan Ahannach from the Dutch side Almere City, a club from the second division in the Eredivisie, has come in as the latest player to be added to the roster of Brighton for the new season. The 21-year-old winger was eyed by a number of clubs in the Eredivisie and the Championship, before being bagged by the Premier League side, who will be playing their first season in the top flight in their entire history.
An attacking player by nature, Ahannach is known to be one of the finest talents in Dutch football and is considered to be one of the future stars. Known for his sharp shooting and brilliant dribbling skills, the 21 year old has been one of the prime targets for Brighton coach Chris Hughton, as the wily manager is well aware of the fact that he will need to develop the attacking perspective of his team if he has to score goals against the big name clubs in the Premier League.
The young Dutchman was associated with Almere City since the age of 16 and has risen through the ranks to become a permanent member of the senior squad. Having represented the club in the Under 19 and Under 21 level, Ahannach played 136 matches in total for the second division Eredivisie club. His stint with Brighton will be the commencement of his career in top flight football, which hopefully, given the kind of abilities the youngster has, can be a really good season for the Seagulls.
He showed off his ominous skills in the last term for his former team Almere City, for whom he made 42 appearances. He scored 18 goals in the last season and was one of the highest providers of assists for his club with 15 assists to his name, providing opportunities for his teammates to score goals and keep the team in advantage.
Brighton are looking to make the most of the current summer transfer market and have been strengthening their team to the best possible extent so that they don’t face difficulties in facing the big name clubs in the new season.
