Liverpool had a great run in the last season in the Premier League and finished the campaign on the fourth place in the league table. They are looking forward once again this season to repeat the same feat and make it a better one in terms of results in the domestic league as well as Europe.
The Reds have a dearth of players who are talented and are raring to go. However, the unavailability of regular match appearances and sitting on the bench might impact them adversely. That is why there is a good possibility that the youngsters might be sent on loan to other clubs, from Premier League as well as Championship, to play on a regular basis and enhance their skills, wit and decision making for the long run.
Here are three such players the Reds should loan out this summer:
Sheyi Ojo-
The English international is one of the best young talents in the Liverpool squad and has been playing for them since 2014. He has played for their Under 23 side on quite a few occasions and has also featured for Championship clubs like Wolverhampton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic.
However, he has made only 13 appearances for the Reds’ senior side in the last few years and is expected to be sent on loan this season as well. A number of potential suitors have been looking forward to bagging the player for their squad and utilise his skills to provide them with the much-needed impetus to do well this season. His suitors include the likes of Middlesbrough and newly promoted Premier League side Newcastle United.
Ryan Kent-
Another English youngster, Ryan Kent, who spent the last term on loan at the Championship side Barnsley and played well for them throughout the season, might be looking for another loan stint in this season as well, as Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp wants him to have that much needed first team experience playing for a fellow Premier League or Championship club before becoming a permanent part of the starting line-up at Anfield. Reportedly, he might be heading to Aston Villa to spend this season on loan as well.
Danny Ings-
With Roberto Firmino already in good form and Daniel Sturridge making a comeback into the team after an injury-stricken term, there is almost no chance that the English international is going to play in the first team for the Reds after his return from injury. Reportedly, Newcastle United have a huge interest in bagging the player on loan for this season.
