West Bromwich Albion are looking to bring in new players into the team so that they can build a strong squad for the next term. The Baggies displayed good enough composure on the field and finished in the tenth position, which could have been bettered to an eighth spot finish but due to some goof-ups right at the end of the season, they failed to do so.
The man in charge at the Hawthorns, Tony Pulis, has been looking for a good player who will be able to give stability to the midfield in the next season and he has already eyed a number of players to be brought into the side for the next season. One of the players who has been eyed by Pulis is the Brazilian, Allan, who is currently playing for the Italian side Napoli.
The 26-year-old has made 82 appearances for the Serie A outfit and has been at the centre of attraction from a number of sides from all over Europe. The player prefers to play as a central midfielder, more in a holding position, helping stabilize the midfield and deliver pinpoint passes into the attacking third to initiate attacks on the opposition goal. He is also known for his ability to hold onto the ball for a significant amount of time and keep the opposition players at bay from attacking his team’s goal.
The player joined Napoli from fellow Serie A side Udinese in the year 2015 and has been making ripples with his efforts in marshalling the midfield. The Brazilian made a good impression as a midfielder and went on to win the Under-20 World Cup with Brazil, having played a very significant role in the team.
The Baggies lost their captain and one of the most dependable players in the form of Darren Fletcher, who went on to join fellow Premier League side Stoke City on a two-year long deal, breaking a long time bond and leaving a big gap in the heart of the midfield for his former club. Allan can be a good substitute for the Scottish midfielder and help to provide stability to the West Brom midfield in the next term.
West Bromwich Albion have been looking forward to making amends for the mistakes they did in the last season, which led to the downfall of the team and compelled them to finish outside the top 8, so as to make it a disappointing end to what looked like a promising season for them.
