Manchester City have not been able to do justice to the high standards they had set by bringing in one of the best managers in the world, Pep Guardiola, who took charge at the Etihad in the last summer. It has been quite a rough first season for the ex-Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach, and he is looking to make amends for that by making the next season one of the best ones in terms of results both in the Premier League as well as the European competition.
The Spaniard has made a great start to the summer by bagging two of the biggest transfer deals so far in the Premier League, by bringing in the Portuguese midfield dazzler Bernardo Silva from the French Ligue 1 champions AS Monaco and the young Brazilian livewire Ederson in between the crossbar from the Portuguese Primeira Liga champions Benfica.
However, the Spaniard is far from done with his spending spree and is eyeing a number of new players to be brought into the side for the next season. Three of them might be the ones depicted in the following lines-
Kyle Walker-
The England right-back is one of the players who has been linked for quite a long time with a move to the Citizens and might be one his way to leave his club Tottenham Hotspur as the relationship between him and the club manager Mauricio Pochettino has deteriorated over the past few months. The full-back might also be the answer to the defensive woes that Guardiola has been facing while constructing his team in the last term that led to the downfall of the team to some extent as well.
Dani Alves-
The veteran Brazilian can also be the perfect answer to the defensive problems for the Citizens coach in the next season, as he is now a free agent, and might be looking for a reunion with his former manager from the Barcelona days. The Brazilian ace has left his last club Juventus on a free transfer and speculations are rife that he might be joining the Premier League club in the next season. Despite his age, the player still has enough agility and a natural aggressiveness in his approach towards the game and can be a valuable inclusion in the Citizens squad.
Alexis Sanchez-
The Chilean marksman has been the most talked about player in the current transfer season and has been heavily linked with Manchester City. Reportedly, the striker has already told Arsenal he wants a move to Manchester City in the next season.
